// About us

Two school friends who build software that saves time.

Aleksandar Jovanovic and Tilman Kieselbach have known each other since school — today they run The CodeCave together. We digitalize and automate workflows, build apps and websites, and put AI to work exactly where it saves real hours.

// Our story

It started in advanced-level computer science.

Til and I are school friends — we know each other from Helmholtz-Gymnasium in Bielefeld. In the advanced computer-science course we realized we both genuinely love programming, and that shared interest turned into our first hobby projects.

In 2018 we got serious about it and founded K&J Software Solutions GbR alongside our studies — mobile apps and smaller software solutions, at first as a hobby. In 2021 we took it up a level and founded The CodeCave GmbH in Bielefeld. Since mid-2022 both of us have been fully self-employed, working exclusively for The CodeCave.

In 2025 we moved from Bielefeld to Frechen near Cologne — a lot shifted privately too: Til now lives in Cologne, and I live in Dortmund.

What do we stand for? Saving human resources and using them well — cutting out wasted time and money. With AI and clean automation that works surprisingly well. And we make sure a company’s quality shows on the web, too.

// Focus

What we specialize in.

We dig into your existing workflows — and don’t just tell you how to automate them, but how to streamline them: more time- and cost-efficient.

01

Digitalization & automation

Understanding existing workflows, streamlining and automating them — for measurably less manual work.

02

AI as a tool

Automatic email recognition, PDF processing, data extraction and ERP integration — AI that works in the background.

03

Apps & custom software

iOS, Android, iPad/tablet and internal tools. B2B and B2C, from kickoff to release.

04

Web & visibility

Websites and landing pages plus search optimization — classic for Google and modern for AI systems (GEO).

Hand & mind — as a duo.

Aleksandar takes care of everything you see and touch. Tilman makes sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

The human side of the product — UX, design and visibility.

I’m the one for everything you see, touch and experience: I build the mobile apps, design the UIs and landing pages, and own the user experience. A particular focus of mine is search optimization — classic for Google and modern for AI systems.

I studied Business Informatics with a focus on software engineering at FHDW Bielefeld (B.Sc., 2018–2021, bachelor’s thesis graded 1.0) — trained in the dual model as an SAP developer at itelligence AG and then employed for a year as a full-time SAP developer. From 2023 to 2026 I taught the next generation at FHDW in Bielefeld and Paderborn.

The engineer behind the scenes — backend, AI and hardware.

I’m the slightly nerdier half of the two of us, and I make sure everything runs reliably behind the scenes. My strengths are AI integrations, connecting company devices and machines, and server applications — the tech you don’t see but feel every day.

I studied Computer Visualistics and Design at Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences (from 2018). In 2021 I paused my studies in favor of our business to focus fully on The CodeCave.
